Tidbits about Our School in Morelia, Mexico

Located between Mexico City and Guadalajara, Morelia is a fairly compact city, with everything of interest within walking distance of the central plaza. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Morelia is a very beautiful colonial city with a historic downtown area known as the Centro Historico. Downtown encompasses 150 blocks and has hundreds of historically significant buildings, which are prime examples of Spanish colonial architecture.

One of these, the Cathedral, was built with pink volcanic stone between 1640 and 1744 and is said to be the most beautiful cathedral in Mexico.
Morelia has a wonderful climate of spring-like weather year-round and a relaxed atmosphere during the day, which is contrasted by an active nightlife.

There are four major universities and several vocational schools here. This lends Morelia to have a larger middle-class, educated population than many other Mexican cities. Language students of all ages find Morelia to be a comfortable and beautiful destination.

Our school in Morelia is located downtown, only a ten-minute walk to the Cathedral, and close to the park. It was founded in 1993 by two brothers who had taught previously at another language school in Morelia. They are still actively involved in the day-to-day running of the school, so a high standard of quality has been upheld.

Since 1993, the school has expanded from the initial building to include the buildings next door. Students in Morelia get an excellent value: a private room with their host family, where they are the only student. This ensures that the student gets the maximum amount of attention and opportunities to speak Spanish with the family.

As there are not many foreigners/tourists in Morelia, students enjoy an excellent immersion experience. There is an excellent language program at this school, with a large pool of well-educated teachers who have been trained in language education. Spanish students will not be disappointed with their choice of Morelia, Mexico as their study abroad destination.
