Did you know that AmeriSpan Study Abroad offers a rebate for guest bloggers? That’s right! If you are studying for 4 weeks or longer and would like to write for us, you can earn a 5% retroactive rebate. If you are studying for 2 weeks or longer and would like to video blog, you can earn a 10% retroactive rebate!
Some guidelines do apply.
Written Blogs:
- You must submit a minimum of 3 blog entries per week during your trip. You must be studying abroad for at least 4 weeks.
- 350 word minimum
- Blogs may start from 5 days prior to your trip, and AmeriSpan must receive your final entry within 5 days after your scheduled end date.
- Topics can include: Planning and preparation, descriptions of your host country and city, funny stories, helpful hints and advice, a typical day at school, your host family or accomodations, etc.
- If you complete all requirements, you will receive a 5% retroactive rebate on your program upon your return.
- We reserve the right to moderate by declining entries. If we feel content is inappropriate, a warning will be provided. If this is not respected in future entries, we reserve the right to cancel your blog writing assignment and decline the retroactive discount.
Video Blogs:
- You must submit one entry per week or 4 blogs, whichever is greater, during your trip. You must be studying abroad for at least 2 weeks.
- Video blog length must be a minimum of 3 minutes.
- Topics: We really want to see you in action! Show us the interesting aspects of life in your host country. Take us on a tour of the school, interview a classmate, show us how you learned to take the bus or buy food at the market. Show us your host family and accomodations. Or even take us along on an interesting excursion. The possiblities are endless! What we don’t want is to just see you sitting in a room talking about your trip. Show us!
- If you complete all the requirements, you will receive a 10% retroactive discount upon your return. The rebate will not exceed $300.
- We reserve the right to moderate by declining entries. If we feel content is inappropriate, a warning will be provided. If this is not respected in future entries, we reserve the right to cancel your blog writing assignment and decline the retroactive discount.
