AmeriSpan is suspending all Japan study abroad programs until June 1st. We will re-evaluate the situation in 6-8 weeks and may open the programs at that time Everyone enrolled in a Japanese program starting before June 1st will receive a full refund. All others may cancel and receive a full refund or can stay enrolled and wait for our re-evaluation.
The news of radiation in Tokyo's tap water being too high for infants, another forced evacuation by the nuclear power plant repair crew, and continuous earthquake aftershocks (with some exceeding a 6 on the Richter scale) has convinced us that the situation is in no way stable. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Japanese people and our partner schools in Japan. We encourage all to help in some way. Here are several links to possible ways to help:
